We Bought The Third-Graders an iMac!

We Bought The Third-Graders an iMac!: "

And we are out. Thanks so much, everybody, for helping show what people on the Internet can do when challenged with a legitimate opportunity to help people. We reached full funding on the iMac before 1 p.m. Pacific -- way less than 30 hours after the drive started.

I'm sure everyone at the school is thrilled -- and I also like the idea that they have no idea how they went from zero to fully funded over-night.

And if you still want to give, or if you're PC user, explore Donors Choose. We just took care of one project. There are hundreds more on the site.

Birth of the iPod -- Now on YouTube

Birth of the iPod -- Now on YouTube: "

Some helpful user has uploaded the complete video of Steve Jobs introducing the iPod to the world five years ago. Remember when everyone thought Apple was out of its mind for calling it 'a breakthrough digital device?'

I selected the above frame because the use of a Beatles album in a graphic introducing the iPod is very, very ironic. And funny.

Let me repeat that because it is so significant. Apple hardware supports Windows!…
